I became interested in photography in 1968 while stationed in Alaska with the U.S. Air Force. We would make photos of nature and the general countryside. I also developed my own black and white photos at that time. After many years passed I became interested in color photography and finally aerial photography using manned and unmanned aircraft. Since then the technology has changed so much that it was almost like starting over in the photography field. The cameras today are much lighter and have so much improved clarity than in the past. Drone technology has also improved and I decided to mix my love for photography and my work in aviation. The cameras used in a good quality drone are amazing to say the least. Technology mixed with computerized processing has made aerial photography an amazing type of photography.
